The Education Committee is dedicated to our Association's mission of healthcare engineering development through education, professional growth, and advocacy in codes and standards. We strive to develop technical and managerial program offerings that provide value to our members. Our organization's history demonstrates our commitment to this mission.
2008 WHEA Education Goals
- Provide a minimum of four (4) site based and four
four (4) web based educational programs that align with WHEA's mission. - Expand the web based programs to deliver annual webinar subscription service commitments, offer webinar downloads from whea.com, and move to online registration for 2009.
- Provide a minimum of two (2) Healthcare Contractor Certificate programs working with the Code Committee. Research and if desired by our membership, develop a certification and renewal process for 2009.
- Reengineer the Speakers Bureau process including:
--Improve speaker data entry, sorting and information access on whea.com
--Become a shared resource for Chapters and Commitees.
--Market to our membership as a resource and tool for educational support. - Research the financial and operational feasibility and member desire for online training programs.
