Wisconsin Healthcare Engineering Association is a Charter Provider Organization for MECH

MECH was developed by the Michigan Society for Healthcare Engineering (MISHE), in conjunction with Ferris State University (MI) to establish a nationally recognized and certification program for healthcare maintenance mechanics.

Two Levels of Certification are now Available!

  • CERTIFIED MECHANIC

This level of certification requires documentation of a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a healthcare maintenance mechanic and successful completion of a certification exam.

  • SENIOR CERTIFIED MECHANIC

This level requires at least four (4) years of experience as a healthcare maintenance mechanic and successful completion of the certification exam.

Purchase a MECH study guide from WHEA! These valuable manuals serve as a training reference which provides troubleshooting examples, suggested reading materials and sample tests to help prepare the applicant for the certification exams.
