Plant Operations Employee Recognition Events
are celebrated by the employees of healthcare facilities
maintenance and plant operations departments annually. For over 20
years WHEA has celebrated the third Thursday in January as the day
to recognize the dedicated employees in our healthcare facilities.
A commemorative button design contest is held each year and the
WHEA board chooses the winning design to be sold and distributed by
our members. Beginning in 2006 this event is now a week-long
celebration that coincides with the annual ASHE healthcare
engineering recognition week in October.
