AWARDS
The WHEA Member Services Committee provides several opportunities for recognition of its members.
Years-of-service awards in the form of gold lapel pins are provided to members in increments of 5 yrs of service, with attractive engraved plaques provided to members who serve continuously for twenty (20) or more years.

The Founders Award for Outstanding Service is presented each year by the WHEA president to the member whose outstanding contributions reflect the leadership and vision of our founding members in sustaining the success of our organization. The recipients of this award have always been reflective of the same leadership and vision needed to carry on our mission and continue the legacy of our first founders. So, the challenge for each WHEA President is to select a recipient who is representative of the visionary leaders who have brought us to where we are today.

The Robert H. Botts Healthcare Engineering Pioneer Award is presented by the WHEA board of directors to a member of WHEA who has made significant contributions through personal or professional initiatives to improve and promote health care facilities management or the healthcare engineering industry. Members are nominated by their peers for this award; based on criteria established to demonstrate the qualifications, achievements and contributions that the nominee has made to the healthcare engineering industry. The WHEA Chapter Representative Award is presented by the WHEA board president to each of the six WHEA chapter presidents in recognition of their service to the state board. Most chapter presidents have served in each office within their chapter en route to their year as a director at the state level. Therefore, this award serves to recognize not only their contributions at the state level but their numerous contributions as leaders of their individual chapters as well.
