The Bylaws Committee is responsible for reviewing the state association’s bylaws for compliance by the association. One representative from each chapter is designated to serve on this committee. Whenever the organizations’ operations or practices are required to be modified, the Bylaws committee will review the proposed modifications and make recommendations to the board for appropriate changes to the bylaws. After the board has approved the final draft of the bylaw changes, approval must be voted by the general membership, either in assembly (such as at the annual meeting) or by mailed ballots.
