CARES Act Provider Payments

This bulletin is being sent to these lists: Children’s Long-Term Support (CLTS): County Waiver Agency Leads, Children’s Long-Term Support Waiver Program Providers, Automatic Health Professional Shortage Areas, Volunteer Health Care Program, Division of Quality Assurance: Notifications and Updates, and key DPH staff.

Based on feedback from the provider community, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) will be reopening its program offering CARES Act provider payments (CAPP) in mid-July.

  •  Future applications will allow providers to submit COVID-19-related costs for not only March, April, and May, but also June, July, and August.
  •  The types of providers eligible for the program will remain the same.
  •  The initial deadline for applications remains tonight at midnight. Payments for applications received by that time will be paid in the next two weeks.
  •  Providers who have already applied for CAPP and have received or will receive funding will remain eligible for payments in the next round.

DHS will be releasing additional details related to the extension as soon as possible. To stay up to date on all CAPP developments, please sign up for the CAPP email list or visit the CAPP webpage on the DHS website. Any questions can be emailed to the CAPP mailbox.
